You Can Know For Sure That You Are Going To Heaven

If you should die today, were would you spend eternity? The Bible [God’s word] declares that when we die, we will spend eternity in one of two places, heaven or hell. God tells us that you can know for sure that you have eternal life in heaven when you die. Here’s how…

Every Person Born Into This World Inherited A Sinful Nature.

“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:”
(Romans 5:12)

This Sinful Nature Produces All Sorts Of Evil Deeds.

“For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.” (Mark 7:21-23)

God Cannot Allow Sin To Go Unpunished.

“For the wages (reward or earnings) of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23a)
“And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.” (Revelation 20:14)
“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” (Revelation 21:8)

If we pay what we owe as sinners, we must spend an eternity in the lake of fire (hell).

You Cannot Save Yourself.

You cannot be good enough.
“…there is none that doeth good, no, not one.” (Romans 3:12)

You cannot be saved by keeping the law. Joining the church and being baptized will not even help save you.
“…for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.” (Galatians 2:16b)
You are helpless. You cannot save yourself!

You Must Accept That Jesus Christ Has Already Paid Our Sin Debt.

In spite of your sin, God loves you and has done everything necessary for your salvation.

God placed the sins of the world, murder, deceipt, lying, adultery…. on Jesus Christ. While Christ was bearing all of our sins in His own body, God punished Him in our place to pay the debt we owe. This is not something God promised to do, it is something God has already done. On the third day Christ rose from the grave and showed His power over death.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” (2 Corinthians 5:21)

It is a fact Jesus Christ has already paid your sin debt. Jesus death and resurrection satisfied God’s just demand that sin be punished. Jesus became your substitute.

We Must Repent

To repent is to change our mind from what ever we are currently trusting in ourselves for salvation to believing that Christ died on the cross to pay for our sins, was buried and rose the third day. To believe and trust in the risen saviour and His substitutionary death on the cross, as our only means of salvation.
Simply, repentance is a change of mind, where you admit that you are a woeful sinner totally incapable of saving yourself. Thus, you believe the Gospel (Good News) of the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved.

The Gospel is that Jesus Christ DIED on the cross for our sins, was BURIED, and bodily RESURRECTED three days later

For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures” (1st Corinthians 15:3-4).

We Must Believe and Trust By Faith

To believe on the Lord Jesus Christ means that you accept the fact that you are a sinner, that as a sinner you owe the sin penalty, and that Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay the debt you owe. It means that you will completely trust Christ alone to get you to Heaven.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast..”
(Ephesians 2:8-9)

Please trust Jesus to Save you today.

Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner deserving of hell. I believe you are the only begotten Son of God, the Savior, who shed your blood to pay for my sins. I believe the Good News that you died on the cross to pay for my sins, that you were buried, and that you rose again three days later for my justification. I place my trust in you alone to get me to Heaven. I accept your free gift of forgiveness of sins and eternal life. Thank you Jesus for saving me! Amen

God’s promise to you. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13)
